About Dr. Ken Miller
As the Clinical Director of The Ministry Village Counseling Program, I support our clinical staff and interns with clinical expertise, assist contracted therapist with clinical concerns, and provide clinical supervision to interns. The goal is to deliver clinical leadership that leads to excellent client care.
Having counseled individuals and couples for over thirty years, I’ve learned that people don’t want to merely talk to a counselor. People want a counselor that can work with them to develop a plan to help them feel better and live an emotionally healthy life. As a clinical mental health counselor and counselor educator, I’ve developed expertise in treating anxiety, depression, anger, and trauma.
I specialize in helping people with anxiety disorders and depression. I work with men, women, adolescents, and on occasion, couples. I also have served many men struggling with anger and problematic pornography use.
I provide professional counseling through evidence-based, scientifically developed therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Biblical Wellness.
Professionally, I’ve co-published a counseling textbook focused on case conceptualization. I also speak at international, national, state, and local counseling conferences and workshops. I provide emotional health consulting services to businesses, local government, and religious organizations. My research interests include attribution theory, clinical supervision best practices, problematic pornography use, and biblical wellness.
When I’m not counseling, consulting, or teaching, I spend time with my family and grandchildren and take time to golf, fish, and hike.
I look forward to hearing from you and working with you to feel better and live an emotionally healthy life.
